ALM Media Seeking Editorial Coordinator

ABOUT THE TEAM:  This is an opportunity to work in a growth-area at ALM supporting our high-profile industry awards activities that appear in print, online and have live awards ceremony components.   This role is responsible for the end to end management of awards nominations activities for the GlobeST print, online and event brand.

Responsibilities

●      Participate in drafting the annual calendar of awards

●      Develop submission criteria and build nomination forms for each award.

●      Post nomination forms and FAQs to the website

●      Write copy for nomination solicitation emails, editorial/content marketing and website landing pages

●      Serve as single point of contact for individuals and firms submitting nominations, providing customer support

●      Develop a schedule of email promotions for each award including reminders

●      Compare current submissions with past submissions and other published lists to be sure we have the most accurate and complete information for calls for nominations

●      Regularly update sales and marketing on the status of nominations received and still outstanding submissions

●      Download submissions and format for the newsroom to review (sort and organize submissions and sends them to the editors involved in judging)

●      Notify winners, send a Winner FAQ, and notify, events, sales, marketing and corporate communications

●      Based on newsroom award winner selections, write up individual and firm profiles for publication in print and online, gather up required photography

●      Order any necessary plaques, trophies etc.

●      Direct any on-site/event reporting and photography

●      Co-MC awards recognition events as needed

●      Maintain an archive of all nomination submissions in a searchable platform/tool

●      Create derivative features stories for GlobeST.com from ominatons information

●      Serve as primary conduit between events and media for GlobeST

 

Skills and Experience

●      1-2 years experience in survey research or marketing

●      1-2 years writing and editing in a newsroom or marketing communications organization

●      Must have tremendous attention to detail, and ability to keep a matrixed team on schedule

●      Hands on experience with email design, development, and management

●      Designing and writing landing pages and order forms

●      Photoshop/photo editing

●      Basic HTML, CSS coding

●      Ability to think logically about how to solicit market data and properly organize it for maximum value 

Salary:  $45,000/yr.
