VerdictSearch Seeking Reporter

ABOUT THE TEAM: Here’s an opportunity to start at the top. VerdictSearch is the country’s leading provider of verdict and settlement information. You will produce case reports for our newsletters and a case database that comprises more than 200,000 reports. Although you will be expected to cultivate sources, you will be supported by a team of assignment editors who scour the courts and compile lists of recent cases for you to track. We offer a fun, challenging work environment that provides long-term stability: The average VerdictSearch employee has been here nearly six years.

Responsibilities

* File 13 case reports a week

* Conduct telephone interviews with sources

* Develop law-firm relationships and cultivate sources

* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

* Must be comfortable using the telephone and conducting interviews

* Prior experience at a daily or weekly print publication is strongly preferred

* An aggressive personality and sharp attention to detail are keys to success

* Strong reporting and writing skills are a must

* A law degree or relevant experience is helpful but not necessary
