Wall Street Journal Seeking Senior Markets Columnist

The Wall Street Journal seeks a senior markets columnist who can bring a sophisticated and global view on the financial markets to the Journal’s 2 million+ readership. This is a premier role with high visibility both inside and outside the organization. The columnist should have deep experience and comfort reporting on, writing about, and explaining the many levers of the global markets, including: Bonds, equities, derivatives, foreign exchange, and commodities. This person should also be fluent in macro economic concepts. The columnist should be able to explain how global markets really work – and how best our readers should understand their movements and peculiarities. The expectation is that this person would write at least twice per week, while also working on big long-term projects with maximum impact. This is practicing the craft of financial journalism at its highest level, demanding a person with a range of special skills and character.
