Protocol Seeking Reporters

From the publisher of POLITICO, Protocol is a new media company focused on the people, power, and politics of the technology industry. Protocol will equip executives, investors, innovators, and policymakers with the reporting and insights they need to understand a world in rapid change.

We’re hiring reporters with a broad range of experience to cover many topics, such as:

  • Silicon Valley
  • Tech policy
  • Artificial intelligence
  • Platforms
  • Media
  • Global trade and supply chains
  • Financial technology
  • Cybersecurity and privacy
  • Infrastructure and transportation

Our ideal candidates are smart, well-sourced, and have a knack for finding out what’s happening in the world of technology and explaining what it means and why it matters to a savvy audience. You’ll be obsessed with the big conflicts underway in tech right now — from battles over looming government regulation, to internecine power struggles within companies, to the profound question of tech’s larger impact on society. You’ll know this world inside and out, and have a gift for revealing its secrets and explaining its idiosyncrasies.

Our primary offices are in San Francisco, New York, and Washington DC, but we welcome applications from candidates living in other locations as well.
