MarketWatch seeks an editor to run our San Francisco newsroom, leading the charge on two fronts: 1. Our coverage of the technology industry. 2. The after-hours market and breaking company news. This editor will work to reshape our approach to tech news, going beyond the handful of Silicon Valley giants to explore the ways technological innovation is changing every industry.
After the market’s closing bell, the bureau chief will take the baton from editors in New York and coordinate our markets and corporate coverage. This bureau chief will be tasked with working with journalists across the site to experiment with new modes of digital storytelling and new ways to deliver real-time financial news, data, and analysis to our readers. This editor must have extensive experience in financial news, a strong interest in technology, and a track record of motivating a large team of reporters and editors.
Interested candidates should contact Jeremy Olshan, Editor of MarketWatch at: 212-416-2710
