This is an initial 6+ months contract assignment in Weehawken, NJ for our direct client. Our client is a looking for a Financial Reporter/Writer/& Editor with who will participate in daily updating of 5-8 articles per day (about 600 – 800 words each), and content is a mix of original stories crafted from interviews by the editorial team with in-house subject matter experts and content repurposed from our research department and product specialists. While Impact itself is a website, Impact is considered a nexus of communication, much of the content streams to other channels like newsletters, podcasts, videos and social media feeds. The editor will curate content for these other channels, as well as contribute to the banks overall editorial content strategy.

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Financial Writer/Editor/Reporter for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Weehawken, NJ.
You will be part of a team that writes, edits, curates and manages content for a global financial news website. The content pairs current events and trends with the client views on how to position investments in light of events and trends. The content is for client’ financial advisors around the world and our clients.
The site is updated daily with 5-8 articles per day (about 600 – 800 words each), and content is a mix of original stories crafted from interviews by the editorial team with in-house subject matter experts and content repurposed from our research department and product specialists.

Responsibilities:
- Start the day by checking relevant news channels and media.
- Be up to date on what research Clients producing
- Participate in a daily editorial meeting with representatives where article topics are decided. Each day’s set of articles will be a mix of content repurposed from the research department and original content produced by the Impact team. Original content is based on interviews with in-house experts.
- Prepare and write content.
- Help copy edit other writers
- Publish collateral in all relevant channels through the publication platform
- Assist in putting together a daily newsletter containing pertinent sales information
Required Skills:
- Understanding of financial markets and how different asset classes work: equities, fixed income, FX, alternative investments and structure products
- 5+ years as a financial reporter, or as a writer or editor within financial services marketing
- Proven ability to work quickly on daily deadlines
- Experience with a publishing tool and/or content management system
- Track record of being detail oriented
- Track record of being able to manage multiple stories/projects at once
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, digital content management, and web analytics tools
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and time management
- Demonstrates commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
- The ability to be a cross-functional team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
