We are an established 13 year-old company with a focus in storytelling for investor pitch decks and investor relations presentations. We have an opportunity that is expanding because of market demand where entrepreneurs are seeking, Series A and B capital raises of $1M – $100M largely in the technology, biotech and healthcare sectors.
JOB TITLE: Senior Storyteller—Technology Sector, Senior Storyteller—Biotech Sector, Senior Storyteller—Healthcare Sector
JOB DESCRIPTION: Our storytellers love our type work, as our clientele make up some of the latest and most interesting new business opportunities and trends in the world. In addition to being finance and investor savvy the storyteller should love spinning a good yarn with a blend of emotive and intellectual words. We seek a long-term contract position for a writer who works remote and is comfortable with technology; Powerpoint, screen share platforms, and communication applications.
The storyteller is typically writing from a customized storyboard where information has been captured in document form from our client as well as recorded calls. All captured content is reviewed by a strategist prior to handing over to the storyteller to determine the completeness of the content strategy. The storyboard determines the general flow of the information for the investor pitch deck. During the writing of the pitch, compilation by the storyteller starts with the customized storyboard and may incur research in the sector or communication with the client via telephone or email. Filling in story gaps can also be realized in discussion with the internal strategist. PowerPoint presentation decks usually average about 650 words and the payment structure is an hourly rate with the average payout in excess of $1000.00, depending on the number of project iterations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: There is a learning curve to understand our process and platform, therefore short-term writers are not desired. We are looking for contractors who are interested in a long term opportunity that pays per project. We require dependable writers that can make the time within a few days’ notice to start a project that usually spans for two-to two and a half weeks. Excellent interview skills is a bonus that aid’s client conversations when needed.
