Reuters is looking for an accomplished journalist, editor and leader to run the Houston Bureau at Reuters. It’s a great time to be there- the energy industry is emerging from a two-year downturn with policy set for an overhaul under a new government. The successful candidate will ensure Reuters is first on reporting developments in the world’s top energy companies, in oil markets, the shale industry, conventional onshore and offshore production, and in the renewable sector.
We are looking for experienced candidates with strong news judgment, writing skills and a record of breaking news and leading teams that regularly dominate the headlines. The successful candidate would be expected to write hard-hitting, insightful stories on spot news developments and be capable of conceiving, driving, reporting, writing and editing longer-form investigative work.
This job requires somebody with excellent communication and people skills. It is a key role in a regional and global team covering energy companies and markets.
