The Real Deal — a magazine with 60,000 readers in New York and newsrooms in Miami and L.A. — is seeking an editor who has the quick-thinking and flexible nature to work across multiple publications and platforms.
The position will involve work on the main monthly print magazine, our sister publication Luxury Listings NYC, our multiple websites (which get 3+ million visitors a month), our weekly newsletters, event programming and other editorial projects. Duties will run the gamut from coming up with story ideas to assigning/editing stories to recruiting top players in U.S. real estate for speaking opportunities at TRD events. Candidates should have a team-player mentality and be quick learners who are comfortable and skilled at pinch-hitting wherever needed on the editorial front. There will also be opportunities to get involved in other areas of a company that is expanding its reach and regularly taking on new projects. Competitive salary.
