ProPublica is seeking a reporter to specialize in coverage of the U.S. political system.
This reporter will be part of a team producing stories and projects to illuminate the forces involved in the major public policy decisions of our time. We’re looking for someone with a strong history of documenting the behind-the-scenes story, who can help weave revelatory reporting into authoritative and elegant narratives.
The successful candidate will have a track record of landing investigative scoops, as well as experience writing about the political and lobbying cultures in Washington and beyond. The team’s stories will appear online as well as in print and video in partnership with other news organizations. This position will be based in Washington or New York.
