Wall Street Journal Seeking Various Reporters

The Wall Street Journal is seeking several reporters covering different topics. Check the descriptions below to see the various opportunities currently available:

Financial Cyber Security Reporter:

The Wall Street Journal seeks a reporter to cover one of the most important topics of our modern age: Cybersecurity of the world’s financial system. While new technologies are permeating every crevice of the banking  world, that is also opening up those systems to fraud, hacking, and even state-sponsored terrorism. This reporter should have a special mettle for understanding technical concepts, but also understanding how those concepts affect our everyday lives. This reporter should be comfortable making connections in both white-hat and black-hat hacker communities, and be able to write both spot news stories and long features about the latest hacks. Our hope is that over time this reporter will become the acknowledged authority on the topic, and be in an ideal position when a massive, system-wide hack or cybercrime takes place. Ideally, this reporter  should have at least two years covering cybersecurity and another two years of experience covering the financial system.

She or he should also have a nose for breaking deals stories, as well as explaining the economics and dynamics of the private-equity world as it undergoes a big transition.
