McGraw Fellowship for Business Journalism is Seeking Applicants

Do you — or a reporter you know — have a great idea for a long form story on a business or economic topic that you’d like to produce, but few resources to get it done?

The deadline is fast approaching for fall applications for The McGraw Fellowship for Business Journalism, a new initiative of the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism designed to support ambitious coverage of critical issues related to U.S. business and the economy. The Fellowships provide up to $15,000 to experienced journalists to do the deep reporting needed to produce a distinguished investigative enterprise or narrative business story.

  • Each Fellow receives $5,000 a month for up to three months
  • Open to both freelance and staff journalists with five years experience
  • No residency required; McGraw Fellows work from their own offices
  • The McGraw Center provides editorial support and help with placement where needed

McGraw Fellowships are awarded twice a year, in spring and late fall. The upcoming deadline to apply is December 15, 2014. For further information and the online application, please go to www.mcgrawcenter.org or contact Jane Sasseen, executive director of the McGraw Center for Business Journalism at jane.sasseen@journalism.cuny.edu
