Role: Investment Communications Writer

Division: Americas Marketing

Role Description: The Global Marketing team covers a wide range of functions including Global Brand Management; Global Marketing Operations; Global Insight; Global Investment & Product Marketing and Regional UK, EMEA, Americas and Asia Pacific Marketing. This spans 80 international markets covering wholesale, retail and institutional channels.

Reporting to the Global Head of Content, but with primary responsibility for developing content for the US marketplace, the Investment Content Writer is responsible for writing, editing, and delivering regular and ad hoc investment communications of a promotional, educational and technical nature. This content will reflect fund or market developments for a variety of projects and campaigns.

The writer will create engaging, accurate and incisive copy, being sensitive to the needs of different readerships, while being mindful of our house style.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, and deliver regular and ad hoc promotional content and investment insight
  • Deliver investment communications that are tailored and appropriate to their intended audience.
  • Identify investment communications opportunities and deliver thought provoking content aiming to place
  • The Firm at the forefront of industry thinking and helping to increase overall brand awareness.
  • Ensure the integrity of all investment and fund related communications.
  • Actively engage with key internal stakeholders such as marketing, digital, PR, distribution, investment managers and client directors, adopting a coordinated and strategic approach.
  • Information gathering and managing to ensure the efficient use of available material. Must be able to spot opportunities to publicize relevant information and repurpose content where appropriate.

Role Requirements:

  • In depth knowledge and understanding of the institutional and wholesale asset management industry.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills – five years industry experience with a track record of being able to adapt writing style to suit a variety of audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build working relationships between departments
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage own workload.
  • Project management experience (desirable).
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Potentially CFA charterholder, ideally IMC qualified, or equivalent
  • Educated to degree level.
